Meet Our Ministry Leaders

Fr. Josh has been Priest and Rector at CTHS since he was ordained as a priest in 2014. He’s a born and raised Western NY, as evidenced by his enthusiastic Fandom of the Bills and Sabres. (Seriously, ask him his opinions about the current rosters...He'll love that.)

Fr. Josh Baker is a dedicated and compassionate spiritual leader serving as the pastor of Christ the Holy Servant Church in Depew, New York. With a deep commitment to his faith and parish community, Fr. Josh has been instrumental in fostering a welcoming environment for all who seek solace and guidance.

Background:

• Fr. Josh has been Priest and Rector at CTHS since he was ordained as a priest in 2014.
• He is a graduate of St. Michael’s Seminary, where he developed a strong foundation in theology and pastoral care.
• Before joining Christ the Holy Servant Church, Fr. Baker served at various churches, where he served as Worship Leader, Music Director, and Director of Children’s Ministry.

Fr. Josh Baker’s unwavering commitment to his parishioners and the broader community reflects his deep-rooted belief in the transformative power of faith and love. He continues to inspire and uplift those around him through his ministry and pastoral care.

Alan Strauss came to faith in his late twenties.  He had a personal encounter with Jesus that forever changed the direction of his life. 

Alan quickly entered leadership positions through the Vineyard Church where he learned about spiritual gifting and evangelism. 

Alan presently serves as a Deacon and pastor at Christ The Holy Servant CEC, in Depew NY.

Alan is a native of the Hudson Valley NY region. 

Alan attended St. Michaels Seminary and was ordained to the Deaconate in April of 2016.

He is currently attending The University at Buffalo as a Human Services Major.

He and his wife Erika have been married since 1998.  They are the proud parents of three children, Brittany, Alysha, and Joshua.

Jessica Baker is a highly experienced and dedicated Director of Children's Ministry and Women's Ministry at Christ the Holy Servant Church, bringing a wealth of expertise in serving both children and women within the church community.

With over 15 years of experience in ministry leadership, Jessica has successfully managed and served in the children's and women's ministries at Christ the Holy Servant Church, developing impactful programs and initiatives.

 Her vision is to create a holistic ministry approach that caters to the spiritual growth and well-being of both children and women, fostering a sense of belonging, growth, and empowerment within the church community.

Jessica is known for her strong organizational abilities, her warm and welcoming ministry style, and her talent for creating engaging and meaningful programs that resonate with both children and women.

 Jessica's deep passion for ministry shines through in her commitment to creating spaces where children can learn about faith and women can find support, encouragement, and spiritual growth in a welcoming and nurturing environment.

Jessica Baker is a dedicated servant leader who brings a unique blend of expertise, compassion, and creativity to her role as the Director of Children's Ministry and Women's Ministry at Christ the Holy Servant Church, inspiring both young hearts and women to grow in their faith and relationship with God.
